About Emilie
My name is Emilie, and I am currently a third-year engineering student at McGill, specializing in mechanics. I have studied advanced mathematics throughout my academic career and mathematics is an integral part of my daily studies. Problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking are skills I use constantly in my engineering coursework.
I strongly believe that mathematics is not only about learning formulas or techniques but also about developing a clear and structured way of thinking. My approach focuses on helping students understand the logic behind concepts so they can apply them confidently and independently.
Having followed a demanding academic path, I am both rigorous and patient and I know how to adapt explanations to different levels.

My goal is to help students understand maths, not just memorise formulas. I adapt my teaching to each student’s level, pace, and learning style (as I know it is not easy , but you will get there !).
As an engineering student, I am used to explaining complex ideas in a simple and logical way. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students, whether they need regular support, exam preparation or help rebuilding confidence in math. I can adapt teaching style to anyone depending on their preferences.
