About Lyrkan
Hello! My name is Lyrkan. I am offering to endow my maths knowledge to anyone ranging from passing exams or simply improving their skills!
With a heavy scientific background in geophysics and renewable engineering, I’ve seen the beauty the universe’s language has to offer, and how it applies everywhere. Coupled with my personal prior tutoring and classroom-like environment with ages of all kind at Mathnasium, I’m sure I can tailor a tutoring experience for maths that you require. Specific exam boards include Edexcel and AQA, but I am versatile to an array of subjects.

Lessons will consist of explanations, breakdowns, practice questions and previous mock exams, which will be explained step by step. Homework can be provided if desired. Lessons are universal; any age can be taught, but mainly revolve around those doing GCSEs or A-levels. The typical length of the lesson can be based on preference. My experience as a tutor is through several students, personal friends, acquaintances, and as a teaching assistant for those with special needs. Furthermore, I'm working in a classroom-based environment at Mathnasium, where I've gained a multitude of working with an array of students, and developed different approaches for an array of people. All students deserve equal learning opportunities despite any background or disability. An essential part of tutoring is learning from the student, which I will aim to carry out effectively.

Lyrkan is an amazing tutor. He taught me everything I know. I absolutely sucked at mathematics and I personally have no patience at all. After finding Lyrkan everything made sense, we would make lesson plans for me to go over and we would meet 6 hours a week. He is very helpful and an amazing tutor I can’t stress that enough.
