About Amanda
Hi! My name is Amanda, I am a current UC Berkeley junior studying Economics and Data Science, graduating this December. I tutor students in SAT/ACT Math and Reading/Writing, as well as edit college admissions essays! Some of my qualifications include:
- 99th percentile in SAT Math and SAT Reading/Writing
- Perfect score (800) on SAT Math section and SAT Subject Test Math Level II
- 5/5 on AP Calculus BC, AP Lang
- Graduating UC Berkeley this semester (2.5 years), incoming consultant at PwC

For SAT prep:
My lessons usually consist of the student first trying SAT practice problems and explaining how to do them. I will also go over quick tips and techniques that can raise scores (such as guessing techniques and test-taking tactics).
For essays:
I help with the brainstorming process, first-pass editing, and final copy-editing. This is generally a very creative process that I try to help facilitate!
