About Sarai
I am a current UC Berkeley student who is passionate about supporting young learners. Education has played a meaningful role in my life, and I truly enjoy helping students feel confident and capable in the classroom. I plan to pursue a career in early childhood education, as I hope to become a preschool teacher in the future. My experience working with children has taught me the importance of patience, encouragement, and meeting each student where they are. I value creating a calm and supportive environment where students feel safe to learn at their own pace and ask questions without pressure. My goal is to build trust, confidence, and a love for learning in every child I work with.

I have over six years of experience working closely with children through babysitting and tutoring. I’ve supported students from ages 4–12 with reading fluency, writing skills, math foundations, and general homework confidence. I also have experience working with neurodivergent children, including children with autism. I always adapt my teaching style to match the child’s needs, pace, and personality.
My lessons are gentle, patient, and encouraging. I focus on building confidence and making learning feel positive and manageable. I believe that children learn best when they feel supported, understood, and celebrated for their progress. My goal is to help students not only improve their academic skills, but also feel proud of themselves and comfortable asking questions.
