About Giuliana
Hi, I’m Giuliana Mesa, and I’m so excited to be your math and science tutor! I’m currently studying Biomedical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematical Sciences, and I’ve had the privilege of helping students succeed in STEM for several years. At Miami Dade College, I worked as a leading math tutor for STEM Beyond PLTL, where I guided students through tough problems and helped them find learning strategies that worked for them. I absolutely love math and science, but I understand that not everyone feels the same way. My goal is to make these subjects something you can tolerate—or maybe even something you’re excited about! Whether we’re untangling tricky equations or exploring scientific concepts, I want to help you see their value and how they connect to the real world. Learning doesn’t have to be painful. Let’s work together to make math and science more approachable, manageable, and maybe even a little fun. You might not leave loving them, but you’ll feel more confident and capable—and that’s what matters most.

- I have experience with hands on lessons, I like the students to communicate and collaborate since it helps us uncover their gaps in knowledge.
- My lesson plans vary depending on the student, as an example, my approach may be more interactive with a student that benefits from examples and step by step scenarios.
- I am young and I love the major I chose for myself, I always hope to get other kids/young adults interested in science and math, and if they are not interested my goal is to help them not hate it.
- I aim to teach high school level students. Math from Algebra 1 -AP Calculus BC or if interested in science tutoring Biology and Chemistry
