About Jorge Javier
I was born in Caracas in 1993 and I live in Buenos Aires since 2019. I trained academically as a mathematician. I currently work as a teacher in public and private spaces, and also as an English and French translator independently. I received a degree in Mathematics from the Simón Bolívar University in Caracas, where I worked for several years as an academic assistant; and I have a master's degree from the Center for Research in Mathematics of Mexico.
I am curious and restless, I am stimulated by the connections between different areas of knowledge, I am not afraid to ask questions and investigate, and I am not satisfied with a single way of carrying out my tasks or organizing my processes. I am versatile, agile and can find motivation in small tasks. I am faithful, dedicated, and I seek that my map of objectives is broad.
I had teachers who taught me the value of having a guide but knowing how to work on my own, and I want to pass that on to my students.

I like students to get involved in solving a variety of problems, but also with the ideas behind the concepts. Mathematics may seem very dry, but the motivations and contexts can be very fascinating.
I offer classes of 45 minutes or 1:30 hours. Theory and practice. Assignments to practice and activate theoretical knowledge. Classes can be in both Spanish and English. Virtual or in person.

Conocí a Jorge durante la universidad, compartimos varios años en una casa residencial para estudiantes y nos hicimos amigos junto a otros compañeros. Es una persona inteligente con la capacidad de entender sobre diferentes ámbitos y sobre todo de enseñar lo que sabe. Ha estudiado en Estados Unidos, por lo que maneja bien el inglés. Me consta que fue ayudante académico en algunas asignaturas de su carrera universitaria, lo que representa una responsabilidad importante, y podría realizar un trabajo de docencia particular o a un grupo sin duda alguna.
Muy buen profe de inglés. Buena pronunciación, tiene paciencia y se adapta a tu nivel de inglés!! Recomendado.
