About Ana
I'm Ana, a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge. I completed my master's degree at Cambridge as well, earning a Distinction; before that, I received a first-class honours from the University of Warwick as an undergraduate. I have tutored pupils for 5 years, and my PhD focuses on Computer Science and Education, so I am no stranger to teaching! I feel that learning should be fun and memorable - I always did best in subjects where my teachers were passionate and taught things in a way I remembered. I want to make sure that I can offer the same enthusiasm to my students and help them learn the subjects I love!

I am a practical tutor, and believe that learning should be done by doing. I first try to pick up a student's level and learning style, before tailoring future lessons to them by using practice questions and analogies to help explain concepts in a way that sticks. I aim to make pupils exam ready; I try to teach them things they'll actively use and remember, rather than just repeating a textbook explanation. I teach for up to an hour, and have tutored for 5 years across Maths, English and Computing GCSE, all of which I received 9s in myself. I also got an A* in all 3 at A Level, and have proceeded to earn first-class honours and a distinction in my undergraduate and master's degrees in computer science. I mainly teach students working towards their GCSEs in Maths or Computer Science, but I am happy to also teach pupils working towards their A Levels.
