I attended a college preparatory school for 11 years and gained an extensive knowledge of helping others, critical thinking, and formal learning. I use this knowledge daily to be a kind, caring, and helpful person. One who believes in lifelong learning, and the importance of understanding the world we live in.

I use a critical thinking approach to teaching. I strive to help students learn and think for themselves with guidance from someone who is there to help them understand. A typical lesson would involve figuring out where students are confused, and helping them find the answer on their own, or with some input if needed. If a more detailed explanation is needed, then I strive to help students best understand background information of why and how instead of just giving information. I want students to understand and learn above all else. These lessons are for students who need a little extra help, or wish to learn a little more about core school subjects. I work as an AVID tutor to Middle and Highschoolers, but am open to working with anyone from grade K-12.
