About Nicholas
Hi there! I’m Nick. I’m a science teacher with a Master’s degree in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) and over three years of experience teaching high school Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science.
Let's be honest: science and math can feel incredibly intimidating. My main goal is to change that. Because my Master's is specifically focused on how people learn and how classes are built, I know how to take those big, frustrating topics and break them down into bite-sized pieces that finally make sense.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a huge variety of learners. Whether you feel like you have major gaps in your knowledge, deal with school-related anxiety, or you're already doing great and just want to challenge yourself, I can meet you exactly where you are.

My Teaching Method
Science shouldn't just be about memorizing formulas from a textbook. While I can definitely give a traditional lecture, my real focus is making the material click by tying it to real-world stories. I have a Master’s in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) and over 3 years of experience teaching science, so I’m very comfortable working with all kinds of learners. Whether you have major gaps in your knowledge, feel a lot of anxiety around school, or are already excelling and just want a bigger challenge, I adapt my approach so you feel totally supported.
A Typical Lesson
My lessons are usually 60 minutes long, but how we spend that hour really depends on what you need that week. A session might look like:
Homework Help: Going step-by-step through your current school assignments so you don't fall behind.
Catching Up: Pausing to break down and reteach older concepts that never quite made sense the first time.
Getting Ahead: Teaching entirely new lessons so you can walk into class feeling confident.
What Sets Me Apart
I love using storytelling to teach. Instead of just doing dry practice problems, I build interactive presentations that turn complex concepts into an ongoing story. For example, when we tackle kinematics in Physics, we learn it by surviving a zombie apocalypse! Day one, we might use distance, speed, and time to map out our escape. Day two, we build on that exact same story to figure out displacement, velocity, and acceleration. It keeps the lessons actually fun, helps the math stick in your brain, and makes each day flow right into the next.
