About Poojitha
Hi, I’m Pooja! I’m a Computer Engineering graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students learn and gain confidence. I’ve always enjoyed explaining concepts in a clear and approachable way, and tutoring allows me to support students while seeing real progress in their skills and self-confidence.
Through my academic journey and teaching experiences, I’ve worked with students of different ages and learning styles. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I take a patient, supportive approach and adapt my lessons to each student’s needs. My goal is to make learning feel less stressful and more achievable, especially for students who may feel overwhelmed or unsure of themselves.
I’m highly organized, reliable, and professional, and I take pride in being well prepared for every lesson. I value clear communication with both students and parents, and I always aim to create a safe, encouraging environment where questions are welcome. Whether a student needs regular support or short-term help for an exam or assignment, I’m committed to helping them succeed.

My approach to teaching Math and Science is structured, supportive, and focused on building strong foundations. I teach students in grades 5 to 12, and I always adapt my lessons to each student's school curriculum, level, and confidence. I believe students learn best when they truly understand concepts, not when they memorize steps.
At the start of each lesson, I ask students to explain what they have learned in class in their own words. This helps me understand how comfortable they are with the topic and allows me to identify gaps early. If a student does not feel confident or struggles to explain the concept, I take the time to review the material they have already learned before moving on. I make sure students feel comfortable and supported, especially when they find a topic challenging.
My lessons are organized and forward-looking. Once students feel confident with current topics, I often introduce upcoming material from school so they feel prepared and less overwhelmed in class. When students show strong understanding and interest, I gradually introduce more advanced concepts and problem-solving techniques to challenge them at an appropriate pace.
A typical lesson includes reviewing previous topics, working through key concepts step by step, practicing questions together, and then allowing the student to attempt problems independently with guidance and feedback. I encourage students to ask questions and explain their thinking so they develop confidence in their problem-solving skills.
My ultimate goal is to help students feel confident in the concepts they are learning at school, build a strong foundation in Math and Science, and develop independent thinking skills. I focus on long-term understanding rather than quick fixes, and I aim to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students can grow and succeed.
