About Jay
I am a Computer Science student at UCL London. I am half Japanese half British (Yes, I speak Japanese) and was brought up in an international environment, so I love learning and experiencing new cultures.
I always excelled at mathematics through my schooling career, but have often been frustrated by the way it is taught in schools. My life goal is to make mathematics a fun and more approachable subject.
I also love growing social media pages. I have a TikTok with over 1 million followers where I make funny (concealed information) and a Youtube where I teach mathematics (concealed information) McCaughrean).

The worst feeling in mathematics is when you don't understand something, but you don't even know what to ask your teacher... because everything just looks like squiggly lines and weird symbols. When I teach, I make sure that you know what exactly the question is asking by understanding what all the notation means. When you understand the question, mathematics becomes a lot more enjoyable, or a lot less painful.
Here are my 3 promises to you for every lesson:
1. Never will I move on until you are 100% happy with a concept.
2. Never will I make you feel like you're dumb or not capable.
3. You will always come out of the lesson as a better mathematician

Details
I am very flexible with the teaching arrangements. I can travel by car or by train. Cancellations must be made a minimum of 72 hours before the lesson, or you will be charged.
