About Sangpo
I have worked at college Mathematics tutoring centers for about 4 years now and am currently a tutor at a community college Mathematics tutoring center. Altogether, I have about 7 years of experience tutoring undergraduates and secondary school students, mostly undergraduates.

I like to make sure the student is learning. Instead of just solving the problems, I ask some questions to make sure the student understood. I could also teach a more traditional class as in develop lesson plans, assign homework/tests and grade them. This would cost a little more than just plain tutoring, just solving problems. My tutoring is for secondary school all grades and undergraduate students. I have had excellent comments/reviews from students. I'm currently a Mathematics at a community college and am also a second year MS in Mathematics student at City University of New York.

Sangpo was my son’s 7th and 8th grade Math tutor. He worked with my son both in-person, as well as virtually during the pandemic. We found him to be very knowledgeable in all areas of Mathematics. He was always on time for the sessions, prepared, patient, and focused. My son struggled with Math, but felt very comfortable working with Sangpo, and eventually grew to be much more confident, and better equipped to tackle the work in his Math class. Rates depend on the level of classes. Generally for secondary school, $20/hr. Prefer students that need weekly lessons. Rates vary for undergraduates. Below Calculus, $25/hr. Differential Equations, Linear Algebra $35/hr. Higher $45/hr. Rates flexible especially if the student needs regular lessons, for example 2 hours a week. Rates higher for students that need more like a traditional class instead of just tutoring, solving problems.
