About Alicia
Hi! My names Alicia and I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Sheffield. I studied maths, further maths and chemistry at A-level and I would love to help any students who may be struggling in these learn to love the subjects as much as I do. I have previously tutored students in GCSE mathematics and chemistry as well as participating in mentoring schemes for struggling students in KS3 years.

Typically, I find it best to start out by finding the main struggle areas for my tutee. I would sit with them and go through a question paper with them, giving them hints along the way but letting them reach the answer themselves. This makes it easier for me to focus my efforts in helping them build on the topics that need it most. I also find that by starting off in this way it highlights that the learning must come from them, I can give them pointers for how to answer each question and they can go ahead and achieve the final goal.
