About Sofie
I am graduating from Vanderbilt University in May of 2025 with a degree in Secondary Education and Teaching with licensure areas of math and physics. This means I will be certified to teach math and science grades 6-12, and I have over 1000 hours of experience working with learners. I taught AP Calculus AB, Algebra 2, AP Physics 1, 6th grade science, and 6th grade math as part of my student teaching experiences. In addition to my classroom experience, I have worked as an independent tutor at afterschool programs and one-on-one with students of all ages. Finally, I have served as a camp counselor for the past 3 summers and have worked to engage learners in fun educational opportunities and worked with students with various needs.

I love to connect math and science to the world around us and help you better understand why the world works. I work with students grade 5-12, and I can help with anything from building skills with fractions to preparing for the AP Physics and AP Calculus exams.
