About Jaydon
Being a senior student with an extended family filled with young primary school children,I often end up helping them with their homework at any given family event. The notion of being able to positively change and shape young people’s academic abilities is a highly rewarding and fulfilling aspect of tutoring. As of current, I am studying the following general QCAA subjects: Literature, Study of Religion, Mathematical Methods, Economics, Accounting and Physics. Whilst I may be learning about math concepts which would make a year 4 student faint, the constant use of basic arithmetic skills taught in primary school has become extremely evident as being crucial to develop. Being a high achiever within school, receiving multiple academic and leadership accolades, I will ensure each lesson is created and carried out with high attention to detail.

As a student myself, I’m able to understand the frustration of not being able to grasp concepts being taught by adults. Often confusing jargon and terminology being thrown around can confuse specifically younger students, making them forget everything they just ‘learnt.’ As such, I aim to deliver lessons which not only simplify core and foundational math skills and ideas but to be able to be easily understood by students of all skill sets. Studying a subject you’re not confident in can be daunting that’s why my lessons are made with reassurance of positive reinforcement, patience and the teaching of having a growth mindset. Understanding younger students have a shorter attention span, lessons will range around one hour. Lessons are open for students from years 3-7 with all skill sets welcomed.
