About Roger
I am a first-year student at Durham University studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics, who is in need of some sort of extra income! Indeed too, I have chosen to focus on tutoring rather than other traditional jobs because I believe I can be an effective educator. Having grown up with two younger brothers for most of my life and undertaking various parenting roles, I take pride that I am able to connect with those seeking my guidance.

As someone who has just finished secondary education, I believe I am strongly in accord with teaching methods that are most appreciated and effective for students. I like to emphasise compassion and dialogue, to make sure students work to their best ability.
In particular, I aim to teach in direct relation to the relevant course specification provided by the exam board, to ensure 100% of the focus is on examinable content. All too often, I have worked with teachers and tutors that deviate from what is tested in the exam, wasting time and missing essentials.
I achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and an A at A-level
