About Shannon
I enjoy working one-on-one with students to support their personal academic goals. I understand that there are a variety of solution paths for math, and I want you to feel confident to find a path that makes the most sense for you!
I have helped students who had no concept of place value at the start of 4th grade, leave my classroom with a strong foundation of mathematical abilities.
My only challenge throughout any lesson…be able to explain and show how you reached your answer.
Remember: It’s okay to not know, but it’s not okay to not try.

I am an elementary teacher with 4 years experience in 4th grade and 1 year of teaching 1st grade. I love to encourage creative and critical thinking throughout math lessons. I believe that there is more than one way to reach a mathematical solution. Choosing my class means choosing a positive supporter for academic growth and achievement!
