About Zain
I am pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering and have a strong love for math.I have experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages and love to share my knowledge. My job experience started in Colleyville, Tx where I worked at Explore Horizons, a tutoring & enrichment center for math, reading and writing. There I worked with members from grades 1-8 and this opportunity opened my eyes to the world of education. After I left town to go off to College, I applied to this tutoring center called Mathnasium. At the same time, I also applied for Elemiddle Tutoring which is basically homeschool tutoring. All these experiences teaching students with different backgrounds and attitudes helped me gain a better understanding of my strengths and weaknesses and how I can make myself better to teach

I wasn't always interested in school and education. It is when I first started middle school is when I found something about myself. I found out that I hate history and I love math. History and I are enemies because I hated memorizing all the facts and dates and class always seemed boring. With math, I felt comfortable with the content. I started 8th grade in pre-algebra and learned that I am not on par with some of my other classmates who are in algebra 1 or even with some who go to the high school next door to learn geometry. That summer, I was dedicated to catch up and advance so that I can learn the most before I graduated. By my senior year, I was in AP Calculus 2 along with 5 other seniors while the rest of my grade was below me in math. By taking summer classes and doubling up in math, I was able to advance past my classmates and get to a position where only a few can get to. As a tutor and student, I am able to share my experiences and give help to students who are like me or want to excel in studies.
