I intend to teach pupils aged 7-18. Before the scheduled lesson I would ask the pupil to describe their difficulties regarding the subject so I would prepare the most relevant material for the lesson. I know that studying with a tutor can be intimidating, therefore, it is crucial that the first 5 minutes of the lesson would be informal. In the beginning, I want to get to know the pupil. Their interests would help me prepare personalized exercises for homework and upcoming lessons. In the subsequent 10 minutes, we would go over the theories related to the topic that the pupil struggles with. Next, we would do 2-4 exercises together for 30 minutes. The last 15 minutes are for the questions regarding the assigned homework. Thus, the lesson should not take longer than an hour as in my experience, learning is not effective in longer sessions.
