About Ritu
I am a part-qualified Actuary, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Delhi, India and a Diploma in Actuarial Management from Cass Business School, London. While working in various full-time actuarial roles in London, I tried to grab every opportunity to tutor part-time, both voluntarily and otherwise. I have had a keen interest in teaching since childhood and have been pursuing my passion for teaching since I was in primary school myself! I have taught learners at all levels, right from early years to university levels in India, UK and Malaysia.
I carefully think about exactly what my learners need to get from each lesson. The most important thing for me is that learners enjoy themselves in every session. I strongly believe that learning should not seem like a task or a burden and should happen seamlessly all the time.

I am a Part-Qualified Actuary, with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and a Masters degree in Actuarial Management.
I have had a keen interest in Mathematics and Statistics, and have been pursuing my passion for teaching Mathematics and Statistics for over a decade. I teach students at all levels, right from Key Stage to University levels in the UK. I also help students prepare for job applications, i.e. Quantitative/Logical reasoning tests. I have also helped a few students prepare for competitive exams such as SAT.
I have always had a very positive feedback from my students – my focus has always been on making pupils understand the concepts via giving them examples. I believe in building a strong foundation in the subject. Initially, I create a skeleton of the most suitable methodology tailored to the preferred curriculum, after which, I adapt that lecture to the specific needs of the student based on their prior knowledge of the concepts. In order to develop analytical ability of my students, I use a combination of resources in the form of worksheets, activities and past papers, depending on the level.
Lastly, I believe in the strong ethic of providing feedback to the parents, so that they are aware of their child’s progress.
