About Lindsey
With a teaching career spanning two hemispheres, I am an experienced Mathematics teacher across both English and Australian National Curriculums and can support across others. I have taught Maths in the UK for 5 years and in Australia for 4 years and became Head of Stage 4 Maths last year. My students and colleagues value my creative and fun approach to teaching and my engaging presentation and sense of humour. I appreciate not everyone loves Maths, but I empathise with people who struggle and find a variety of ways to support their learning. More recently I have been private tutoring as my personal circumstances changed. I love working one-to-one and really being able to tailor my lessons to individual needs.

I firmly advocate the use of video conferencing for tutoring Maths. My lessons are delivered live online with the use of my students' preferred platform, such as Google Hangouts or Skype, but ideally with a screen share option. I deliver my lesson using interactive whiteboard software and encourage my students to engage live with a direct connection to my presentation. This way we can both interact during my session and I receive live feedback and can adapt my lesson accordingly. Students receive the best possible support and learning, in addition to communicating using the latest technological methods which they can use as evidence for 21st Century communication skills. I would be happy to provide a reference for my students for any careers or further education they wish to apply for, which may require evidence of these skills.
