About JOSHUA

I am an experienced mathematics educator and professional tutor with more than ten years of experience helping students succeed. I have worked with learners from middle school through college in classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one settings.

I understand that every student learns differently, so I bring patience, flexibility, and encouragement to every lesson. Students can expect me to be prepared, dependable, and respectful of their time. I create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and develop genuine confidence in their mathematical abilities.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to each student’s needs, learning style, and goals. I begin by identifying skill gaps and understanding where the student is getting stuck. Then I explain concepts in clear, practical ways, work through examples step by step, and provide guided and independent practice.

I am patient, encouraging, and willing to explain a concept in several different ways until it makes sense. My goal is not simply to help students complete assignments, but to build their confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and help them become more independent learners.

I tutor middle school, high school, and college students in subjects ranging from basic mathematics and pre-algebra to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, and statistics. Lessons are available online or in person and can focus on homework support, test preparation, catching up, or getting ahead.

Joshua was an amazing tutor for my daughter. He taught her Algebra in a way that finally clicked and helped her build confidence instead of just memorizing steps. He was patient, kind, and always made sure she truly understood the material.

He also helped prepare her for the SAT, focusing on both content and test strategies. We saw real improvement, not just in her scores, but in how comfortable she felt approaching math problems.

Joshua was reliable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in her success. I highly recommend him to any family looking for strong math support and SAT preparation.
