Hi there! My name is Lexi and I'm your friendly, encouraging math and test prep expert! I have over 8 years of math experience under my belt helping out a wide variety of students; I can help your kiddo out with their understanding of fractions or help dissect integrations in calculus. My name is Alexis, but you can call me Lexi. I earned my B.A. in Mathematics at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. I specialize my tutoring in mathematics but am able to help with a wide variety of subjects. I have freelance tutored for +7 years, assisting others in various math levels such as pre-calculus, algebra I, geometry, and elementary math. Throughout the many student's I've helped, I meet them where they are at, whether they are 2 months behind with prevalent algebra gaps or trying to ace their course from start to finish! With my experience, I'm able to cater each session to best meet the needs of the student at hand. I was recently a Senior STEM Program Associate for a Non-profit organization geared toward getting P.O.C. high school scholars into high achieving colleges. I now continue to support the math needs of the organization while pursuing my own business ventures, and hopefully to help with your math needs as well!
For tutoring, we can prepare for tests, tackle homework assignments, breakdown concepts that didn't fully "click" in class, and so much more. Ideally, we'd meet in public like at a Starbucks, library, etc. for safety reasons for both you and I. I plan to completely cover any topics the student would like, making sure they feel confident in their studies! Assistance that you may need in a project or homework can be brought up as well! The session is planned to revolve around you and your needs.
