About Tearra
I am Tearra, a passionate learner and someone deeply interested in understanding people and their thinking. I am drawn to teaching because I want to help students engage with ideas in a meaningful way and experience the satisfaction of truly understanding something. My own journey with living with neurodivergence and navigating challenging subjects like psychology and criminology has inspired me to share knowledge and support others in their learning.

I teach in a way that makes sense to the student, not just the textbook. I focus on helping them truly understand ideas so they can explain and use them themselves, rather than just memorising. I break things down step by step, use examples, and adapt my approach depending on how their brain works. I also draw from my own experiences, growing up with ADHD, figuring out how to study in ways that actually work, and tackling complex subjects like psychology and criminology. This allows me to relate to the challenges learners face and guide them to push through without feeling stuck. My goal is for students to leave not just knowing, but feeling capable, confident, and ready to apply what they have learned.
