About Noah
I have previous tutoring experience tutoring college students. I have been tutoring for 3 years now at Kutztown University, so I have worked with all different kinds of students who all learn differently.
I believe the biggest part of a tutor's job is giving students tips on how to approach/solve problems. A tutor's job is to give students the necessary "tools" so the student can solve problems on their own in the future.
I have a passion for teaching and helping people. Being able to help a student understand something and witnessing them have that moment where it all comes together in their head is very satisfying to me.
I believe that it's important for students to observe someone figuring out the problem themselves because it helps them learn. Asking a teacher who has maybe assigned the same problems year after year, for help is not as meaningful because the teacher knows the problem inside and out. It is good to ask someone who is seeing the problem for the first time, just like the student, because they can see their thought process. Observing the problem being solved in this way will give the student more insight into how to solve future problems.
I have tutored college students for 3 years at Kutztown University and have tutored a few high school students online in Physics. I have also completed numerous training courses that the University requires for tutors.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics.
I have made Dean's List for Fall 2018, Spring 2019, Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and Fall 2021 and have an overall GPA of 3.83 on a 4.0 scale.

I like to reach out to them through email and ask if they are comfortable sharing phone numbers.
Whether they say yes or no, I reach out asking if they would like to have a little informal meeting, preferably online but I am not picky about what we use. We could use Houseparty, Facebook, Facetime, zoom, etc. I do this just so we can talk and I can get to know the student a little bit. I ask them what their hobbies and interests are, what school they're attending, what classes they're taking, what are their future goals and what they think, academically, their strength and weaknesses are.
I conclude by negotiating with them what I will charge and if they would like to meet in person or online. Then I start scheduling weekly meeting times!

He always took the time to ensure I understood each step of a problem and didn’t mind re-explaining what he was teaching me until I understood it. He most definitely helped me pass my Physics courses.
