About Eva
I completed a teaching apprenticeship program in Indianapolis after my undergraduate study at Northwestern University.
I am actually a licensed teacher! I am licensed to teach life sciences grades 6-12 and math grades 5-9, so I've worked students of many ages. I also worked as a math tutor in high school/college on higher level math courses like algebra and geometry.

First, we identify which part of the class a student needs the most help with. Is it a certain topic? Study skills? Just needs practice? Then, I help students come up with a plan to make sure they get what they need from our sessions.
I have worked with students in 6th through 12th grade in the classroom, small groups, and individual sessions. I have also worked with college-age students in individual lessons.
Look for someone who can help you grow as a scholar, not just someone who will drill the material into your head for the exam. There's a big difference between just memorizing and actually learning.

My son has had a few sessions so far. He seems to be improving a lot. I thought the online lessons might not be as good for my son, but Eva seems to have it all figured out and has been just as helpful online and in-person.
Eva made learning fractions a lot easier for me. I had a hard time on quizzes and asked her for help before my unit test. She explained it really well and helped me learn better than my teacher. She helped me ace my unit test and now I will always go back for help 😃
When Eva reached out to me to leave a review, I was happy to oblige! She worked with my daughter for several weeks over the summer and has also been helping her throughout this school year.
