About George
Math is so much fun once you get it! I love math and want to help you enjoy doing math too! I have over 25 years tutoring math to Elementary, Middle School, High School but mostly College students in advanced math where it works my brain like working out at the gym! I'm extremely patient and encouraging to my students! I'll show you step by step at your pace until you understand! My favorites are Algebra, Trigonometry, PreCalculus and of course Calculus! So let's get started and let the Mathematical Fun begin! I guarantee you will not regret it!
I enjoy seeing the lightbulb turn on in their head! "I get it now!"
I started tutoring while attending college. I loved it! I learned more by tutoring than when I was in class!
I have an AA 1997, BA 1999, and MA 2005. I have over 25 years of experience in tutoring all grades and levels of math.

Just contact me and I'll check my availability! I reply pretty fast! I'm also reliable.
I have mostly worked with college students. I do have experience working with students with learning disability as well as the physically challenged! A disability is just a challenge you can overcome!
Experience is the key! That's what seperates a professional from a novice! Also the relationship needs to click. Do you feel safe to ask questions? Or are you afraid of asking a dumb question? No question is dumb!
I tutored a student online in Calculus who lived in another state! After our session, he commented, "I learned more during this session than I have during the 4 weeks of class." Wow! That says a lot! It touched my heart that I was making a difference!

George is tutoring my son's Algebra II. He is very patient and takes the time to break things down so my son understands the Math problems. This makes my son less frustrated when dealing with his school work.
He is a very patient and experienced tutor who makes a tough subject like college level calculus enjoyable. He is able to explain step by step in a thorough fashion and always invites questions. His help in Calculus has been fundamental to my successful this semester, without it I would be totally lost. Thanks George!
George has helped me for 3 years. I met him at El Camino college. He helped me with Algebra. During Covid, he helped me using face time. He was very smart and knows a lot of Math. He is very patient. I felt very comfortable asking him questions. I used be hate Math since I was in middle school because I was afraid of working with numbers.
Working with George, I felt very comfortable. I didn't feel bad when I made mistake. He would explain calmly step by step. He helped me to get a B in the class.
George is very talented. He also knows very good Spanish. He helped me in Spanish class and I got an A. I took Oceanography, I asked George if he can help me, He said he never took class but he could try to help me and he did. He was able to learn with me and I got an A in the class. He can figures things out that he doesn't know. I highly recommend him.View more recommendations
