About Megan

I offer online tutoring as well as flexible scheduling. I am very experienced and organized.

I love working with motivated students. I feel that students who seek out tutors are much easier to work with. I love watching my students achieve their acedemic goals. It's very rewarding work.

I was a peer tutor throughout my highschool years. I loved it so much I decided to start my own tutoring business.

I have a tutoring certification and 3 years of experience. I currently hold an Advanced Tutor Certification from the ACTP. In addition to this, I am a member of the ACTP (Association for the Coaching and Tutoring Profession.) See my website for more information on my qualifications.

About the lesson

I always start with a benchmark assessment so I can create lesson plans to address the students needs. Then I like to have all my students set an acedemic goal for their time in tutoring. After that I will answer any questions parents have and the student and I will play a get to know you game.

I have worked with Elementary, Middle School and High School students. Right now I only tutor Elementary and Middle school students. I have never tutored college students.

Finding a tutor you are comfortable with is very important. If you feel embarrassed to ask questions, you won't get much out of tutoring.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think students should be honest with themselves about how much they truly understand a concept. If you don't understand the fundamentals, no amount of explanation will help you understand the new concept your learning. With this in mind, be honest with yourself and your tutor so that you can get the most out of tutoring. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

I have a standardized price list. I typically charge $35/hr. However, I offer $25 trial lessons. I also have a referral program. If you refer a student to me I will take $10 off your next lesson. See my website for more pricing information.
