About Renny
Hi! My name is Renny and I will be going to Columbia University in the fall. In high school, I won my school's highest Math Achievement Award and highest English Prize. I also received a 36 on the math section of the ACT. I received a 5 on both AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC. I have also taken classes such as Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Multivariate Calculus.
Having spent many months toiling over my own college essays this past summer, I feel uniquely qualified to edit, proofread, and revise drafts of a college essay. It helps that I am very passionate about tutoring as well as revising and producing good writing.
Some info about me: In high school, I won the Sextant Award for Creative Writing and the English Award. I was also a very active Thespian, performing in numerous plays and musicals. I was the coach for the Middle School Math Team, which I owe a lot of my teaching experience. In high school, I also won the Poetry Fest two years in a row and was a finalist for the Woodbury Speaking Contest.
I am confident that I will be able to help and am passionate about teaching. I have also been taking online classes for the past couple months so I am already very well-versed in the world of online teaching. Let me know what you think! I hope to hear back from you soon.
