About Thurga

My name is **Thurga**, and I am a dedicated and passionate educator with experience teaching both primary and secondary students in an international school environment. I currently teach at an international school, where I follow the UK syllabus and support learners in developing strong foundations in English and other core subjects. Over the years, I have worked with students of varying abilities, from those who need additional academic support to those aiming for higher achievement.

I focus on creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident to participate, ask questions, and make progress at their own pace. My teaching approach is structured, patient, and results-oriented, combining clear explanations with engaging activities and consistent practice. I place strong emphasis on building understanding, improving exam skills, and developing independent learning habits. Parents and students can expect professionalism, commitment, and a genuine dedication to helping every learner succeed.

About the lesson

My tutoring is student-centered and adapted to each learner’s needs. I focus on making lessons clear, interactive, and engaging to build understanding and confidence.

Teaching Method

I use simple explanations, guided practice, independent exercises, real-life examples, and regular feedback. For younger students, I include games and visual activities to make learning enjoyable. I also provide exam techniques and practice for better performance.

Lesson Duration

Most lessons are 1 to 2 hours, depending on the student’s age and learning needs.

Experience

I am an English teacher at Hibiscus International School with experience teaching primary and secondary students in English, Maths, Bahasa Melayu, along with tutoring experience.

Target Students

My lessons are for primary and secondary students, especially those following the UK/international curriculum or preparing for exams, including students who need support or want to improve further.
