About Astha

Hi! I'm a Computer Science university student and former Kendrick School student, with a strong academic background, including an A* in A-level Mathematics. With over 3 years of tutoring experience, I enjoy helping students build confidence, develop their understanding and work towards their target grades.

Having experienced GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand the challenges of exam preparation and the importance of having the right support. My approach focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, clear explanations and making lessons interactive through worked examples, practice questions and discussions. I encourage students to ask questions and apply what they have learnt, while tailoring each lesson to their individual needs.

Alongside providing private tuition both online and in person, I have experience tutoring younger students and working as a university Teaching Assistant, supporting students with their learning, which have strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes.

About the lesson

I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs, focusing on weaker areas by explaining concepts clearly, working through questions and providing examples. I also use past papers, slides and topic-based practice questions to strengthen understanding, improve exam technique and help students work towards their target grades.

I can tutor students of different ages and abilities, from GCSEs to AS-levels and A-levels.

My hourly rates for tailored lessons are as follows:

- GCSE subjects: £15 per hour
- AS-level and A-level subjects: £20 per hour
