About Parmeet

I'm a fourth-year medical student at Hull York Medical School with a genuine passion for science, education and helping students achieve their potential. Having tutored for four years, I've worked with students of different ages, abilities and educational backgrounds, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

I achieved A grades in A-level Biology and Chemistry and have continued developing my scientific knowledge throughout medical school. I also hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Alongside my studies and tutoring, I previously served as President of the HYMS Dermatology Society, where I organised a 14-week teaching series and helped coordinate a medical student conference. These experiences have strengthened my communication, organisation and teaching skills.

I understand that every student learns differently, and I pride myself on being approachable, patient and encouraging. My aim is not just to help students achieve better grades, but to make them feel more confident and capable in their studies.

About the lesson

I'm a fourth-year medical student at Hull York Medical School with four years of tutoring experience, specialising in GCSE and A-level Biology and Chemistry, as well as UCAT preparation and medical school admissions.

My lessons are tailored to each student's ability, learning style and exam board. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps, using active recall, exam-style questions, past papers and mark schemes to develop both subject knowledge and exam technique.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged depending on individual needs. I have experience teaching students across KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.

My approach is friendly, patient and interactive. I encourage students to ask questions, identify areas they struggle with and develop the confidence to tackle unfamiliar exam questions independently. Whether you're aiming to improve your grades, prepare for upcoming exams or strengthen your understanding of a subject, I'll adapt our lessons to help you reach your goals.
