About Yoyo

Hi, my name is Yovyta but everyone calls me Yoyo! I’m a dedicated college student who genuinely enjoys helping others learn and improve. I understand that school can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when a subject does not immediately make sense. My goal is to create a comfortable, encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I am patient, organized, and committed to putting real effort into every lesson. I take the time to understand each student’s needs and adapt my approach accordingly. Whether you need help understanding a difficult topic, completing homework, preparing for an assignment, or building better study habits, I’m here to support you.

I believe that with the right guidance, every student can make progress and become more confident in their abilities.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive, and focused on making sure students actually understand what they are learning. I adjust my teaching style to each student because everyone learns differently. I like to explain concepts in simple terms, use examples, and work through problems together instead of simply giving students the answers.

A typical lesson starts by identifying what the student is struggling with and reviewing any important concepts they may have missed. From there, we work through examples together, practice similar problems, and finish by reviewing what they learned and what they should continue practicing.

What sets me apart is that I understand what it feels like to be a student who needs something explained differently. I want my lessons to feel comfortable and judgment-free, so students can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. My goal is not only to help students complete their assignments, but to help them become more confident and independent learners.

I offer tutoring for elementary and middle students who need additional support with subjects such as math, English, writing, homework, studying, and general academic skills.
