About Adam
I'm an experienced maths, chemistry and physics tutor with a background in professional scientific editing and lab research, who likes to teach in a friendly and conversational manner. We'll cover your syllabus in detail, but also talk in depth about concepts as they arise to give you a more intuitive understanding of the subject.
Chemistry was never my favourite subject at school - in fact I initially gave it up after getting a C at AS-level. But after a change of heart, I decided to have another crack at it, and with the support of some wonderful tutors I was able to complete the A-level, achieving an A grade as well as a merit in the Advanced Extension Award (AEA), then going on to study chemistry at Oxford and a PhD in Switzerland. So I have first-hand experience of the huge difference a good tutor can make!
I have ~3 years previous experience teaching both A-level and university-level chemistry, with physical chemistry being my particular area of expertise.
