About Thalia
I'm Thalia, an undergraduate studying Physics at the University of Oxford. I've enjoyed a successful academic career, achieving 4 A*s at A Level thanks to the support of some wonderful teachers. I love to make maths and science more accessible to others and have worked hard to develop study skills which make learning more accessible and enjoyable. I have experience working with children and young people.

My aim is to make the learning process fun and effective, and to tailor each lesson to the student so they can get personalised support which they may not get in school. I can provide targeted support to address weak areas of the curriculum and improve exam performance or follow a whole syllabus approach. I use a variety of techniques (spaced repetition, active recall, see-do-teach) to stimulate learning and problem solving. As an undergraduate, my own experience of GCSEs, A Levels and university applications were relatively recent, so I can provide up-to-date support. I am well versed in the kinds of questions seen on the PAT exam and Oxbridge interviews, and can help develop revision planning and techniques. I have experience tutoring students in GCSE maths and science.
