About Samya
Hey! I'm a B.Tech student at IIT Varanasi, originally from Kolkata, where I spent my school years.
My guitar journey started in Class 8 when I picked up a guitar for the first time. Like most beginners, I was excited to play my favorite songs, but I often found myself stuck between complicated theory and actually making music. So I did what many aspiring guitarists do—I turned to YouTube, online tutorials, and countless hours of self-practice.
Over the years, I've learned a lot, made plenty of mistakes, and figured out what actually helps a beginner progress. I'm still learning every day and would describe myself as an intermediate guitarist, not a professional. And honestly, I think that's one of my strengths as a teacher. I clearly remember what it feels like to struggle with chord changes, sore fingers, confusing tutorials, and the feeling that everyone else is progressing faster.
My classes are designed to be friendly, relaxed, and beginner-focused. You don't need any prior experience, music theory knowledge, or special talent. If you can't play a single chord yet, you're exactly the kind of student I'm looking to help.
Rather than acting like a strict instructor, I prefer to teach like a friend who's already been through the beginner phase and can guide you through it. We'll learn step by step, celebrate small wins, play songs you enjoy, and gradually build confidence on the guitar.
