About Michael
I'm an Ontario Certified Teacher (Qualified for K-12, including Math Specialist) at a senior public school in Brampton. I have over 10 years experience tutoring and teaching. I'm looking to tutor a select few students at a time, to make the connections to what you already know help you make sense of a jammed pack Grade 9 curriculum.

Meaningful hands on and concrete lessons based on real life moving into abstract to make sense of math concepts. Everything is supposed to be super easy, efficient, and elegant in mathematics. Most people find it complex and difficult because they do no understand (this includes many educators / tutors) I will get you there if interested. (Math made simple example : Surface Area of cylinder is = (height + radius) times Circumference. It works every time! I can show you why - and why that's important - Hint : Basically all 2D shapes are related to rectangles, all 3D shapes are related to rectangular prisms) Algebra is supposed to make it easier to make predictions and find unknowns - but in abstract is confusing. Let's go back and explore in concrete terms - like basketball (using 2 pointers and 3 pointers as an example)
