About Issa

About Me

I am a dedicated and results-driven tutor with a passion for helping students unlock their full potential in Mathematics Advanced and Biology. My approach combines clear explanations, structured lessons, and personalised support to ensure every student feels confident and capable in their studies.

With a strong academic background, including achieving 3rd place in Mathematics Extension 1 and a Band 6 in Advanced Mathematics, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them effectively. My experience as a High School Tutor at GV Tuition has allowed me to refine my teaching techniques and witness first-hand the positive impact of tailored guidance on student performance.

I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and committed to my students' success. Whether it’s preparing for exams, building foundational knowledge, or tackling challenging topics, I strive to create an encouraging and productive learning environment where students can grow academically and personally.

My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to instill confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Methodology

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual's needs and strengths. My approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding first, followed by structured practice and application. I break down complex topics into manageable steps, using real-life examples and interactive problem-solving sessions to keep students engaged and motivated.

Typical Lesson Length

Each lesson typically runs for 60–90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and the complexity of the topic. This timeframe allows sufficient time to introduce new concepts, practice exercises, and review progress without overwhelming the student.

Qualifications and Experience

I have a strong academic background in Mathematics and Biology, having achieved 3rd place in Mathematics Extension 1 and Band 6 in Advanced Mathematics in my HSC. Additionally, I have hands-on experience as a High School Tutor at GV Tuition, where I have successfully helped students improve their academic performance through personalised lesson plans and consistent support.

Who Are My Lessons For?

My lessons are tailored for high school students (Years 7–12), particularly those studying Mathematics Advanced and Biology. Whether students are preparing for exams, struggling with specific topics, or aiming to excel academically, my lessons are designed to boost confidence, improve understanding, and achieve measurable results.

I am passionate about helping students realise their potential and develop a positive mindset towards learning.
