About Deanna

My passion for teaches stems from wanting to help others succeed and learn in a way that is engaging and inclusive. Working one-on-one in a tutoring session allows me to meet a student where they are at and create a personalized learning plan for them.

About the lesson

Although I am a fourth grade teacher, I have experience tutoring Calculus 1, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra as well. I am
able to meet student where they are at in order to help them best succeed. A typical lesson would start off with a quick warm up to see where we’re at, and then from there I like to include hands on activities to help drive the concepts home. I utilized Delta Math in the past with tutoring, and that wrapped up the session well. In my own classroom, hands on learning kept my class engaged and ready to tackle whatever concept we were learning that day.
