About Javier
My name is Javier, I am currently studying Commerce in the University of Melbourne, majoring in Finance and Economics. I am also a Water Polo coach in Singapore and in Melbourne. My passion is teaching and coaching as I always enjoy helping students improve in both Academics and Sports. Seeing students improve gives me a sense of achievement. I always give my all when teaching as I feel that as a tutor/coach, it is my responsibility to impart knowledge students as well as ensuring that they are on the right track. My goal is to ensure all my students do well for the subject that I am teaching.

I will teach the student topics that are tested for his/her school year. After each topic, I will give a test to the student to test his/her knowledge and see well he/she understands the topic before moving on to the next. Students will be assigned homework after every lesson, it is compulsory for he/she to complete it before the next lesson. The student can also ask questions that he/she is unsure of from the homework assigned or even questions that they chanced upon when self studying or their school homework. I also like communication with parents. I will update the parents on the student’s progress every month and would love parents to communicate with me should they have any queries or feedback. Lastly, as I am also a coach of a sports team, my patience when teaching students is very high. In my opinion, patience when teaching is key to students improving as it allow them to freely ask question when in doubt and not feel pressured asking topics that they do not understand
