About Melissa
I am a student currently doing a Master's in Data Science which is a field of IT at Monash University. I am a fast learner and I’ve always liked teaching my friends as well as other students with programming or math as I feel it’s very easy to understand if the basics are taught properly. I love both programming and math because the answers are always fixed regardless of who’s judging/correcting it. I like teaching because it helps me learn something while also helping people with their studies.

I’m a master's student doing my master in data science. I’ve had past tutoring experience, teaching C++ for their first semester of university. My typical length is one hour but it's flexible according to the workload of the student. My classes are for students in their first year of their bachelor's or 10th to 12th. Additionally, I am capable of teaching math till 10th grade IGCSE level. I believe students learn programming best by tackling problems before seeing solutions. What I do: 1. Draw and explain algorithms visually in real-time 2. Present challenges with initial examples 3. Provide minimal guidance while students work, prompting critical thinking through targeted questions 4. Share formal examples only after students have attempted their own solutions My tutoring is for students who need basic programming lessons till their second year of university or anybody looking for a head start.
