About Autumn
My passion for guitar began during my teenage years, inspired by both classical and contemporary music. Over seven years, I have taught students of all levels, focusing on technique, musical interpretation, and personal expression. I prioritize patience, encouragement, and adaptability in my teaching approach to help each learner thrive. I combine structured technique exercises with repertoire, improvisation, and performance coaching. I aim to build both skill and artistic confidence, fostering creativity and resilience in students. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, strengths, and learning styles to ensure meaningful progress. Outside teaching, I perform, compose, and attend workshops to maintain professional growth. Sharing real-world experience with students helps them understand the practical applications of their skills and inspires artistic exploration. Guiding students to develop both technical mastery and expressive artistry is my most rewarding professional achievement.

Guitar learning combines technical mastery, creative expression, and performance readiness. My lessons begin with posture, hand positioning, chord progressions, and basic finger exercises, gradually progressing to scales, fingerpicking, and repertoire tailored to each student’s skill level. I emphasize both precision and artistry, helping learners develop a confident, expressive, and versatile playing style.
Beginners focus on foundational chords, rhythm, and simple melodies to build coordination and confidence. Intermediate learners refine fingerstyle technique, explore scales, chord progressions, and learn to interpret musical pieces expressively. Advanced students tackle complex repertoire, improvisation, and performance preparation. Assignments include structured practice routines, recordings, and mini performances to cultivate skill and confidence.
Beyond technical skill, lessons develop creativity, discipline, and emotional connection to music. Students learn to express ideas and emotions through their instrument, develop resilience through practice, and cultivate stage presence. By the end, learners achieve both technical proficiency and a personal expressive style, prepared for performances, recordings, or further musical study.
