About Rifuwo
I’m Rifuwo Kenny Sondlane. You can just call me, “Kenny” to shorten my names. I’m a young South African tutor who is very passionate about Mathematics. I was very dedicated during my high school years and I used to pass this subject quite well. I often outperformed my classmates because I had a very unique way of approaching this kind of subject. It also led to me teaching my own classmates when the teacher was not present or any free-time we could get. That’s how passionate I am. I believe that I can share my knowledge, not just to my past classmates, but to other students in the world who might need me.
I am currently doing a BSc in Mathematical & Computer Sciences at the University of Limpopo with 3 years of experience. I did my Matric in 2023 and I always dreamt of becoming a data scientist and that’s why I tried in every possible way to get into the mathematics & computer science field. I was able to achieve this dream through consistent independent learning, unique study strategies and attending tutoring classes. I always tried to be ahead of everyone and this led me to have a very good mathematics background and this is why I wanna share my knowledge with as many high school students as possible.

As a dedicated Math tutor, my only goal is to make this subject very interesting and understandable for students. As I’ve seen that many students struggle with such a very good subject. I’ve always had a passion for Mathematics so I strive to help high school students gain confidence through consistent practice & logical thinking. I’m a patient and good-paced tutor, I can go over one concept until you fully understand it.
All that is unique about me is that I can be able to break down most of the concepts through logical thinking and make it very simple. I don’t only focus on helping my students solve problems, but I also ensure they get that critical thinking every mathematician has so that they can be able to break down the concepts and answer questions easily without my presence.
I’m fluent in both English and Xitsonga, which enables me to explain what I’m teaching to a bigger number of students. Teaching in one or both of these languages makes students comfortable, being able to fully understand the concepts and finally, ask questions freely in any of the languages that I teach in.
For me to make this as easy as possible, I have a very unique way of structuring my lessons. First, we review previous basic concepts of the part we’ll be doing, then we start with the introductory section of that part. After that, we do quick examples to check for understanding before we move to more complex & independent concepts. After finishing up with all the concepts, we approach past papers to check how we can approach exam questions. Throughout the lessons, I recommend that students ask any questions they might have because mathematics requires an understanding of every single aspect that is taught. I also provide study strategies & additional practices where needed.
My lessons are suitable for high school students and anyone who would like to strengthen their mathematics knowledge. Whether you’re a student who needs help with test or exam preparation, my lessons are structured for your specific needs and help you achieve your academic goals.
