About Aleena
My name is Aleena, I am a current secondary school student who has a keen interest for most subjects offered in both primary and KS3. My favourite subject has to be history but i love to teach and explain maths and science to people as i really enjoy those topics too.

I would first encourage the child to want to know more about the subject i am helping with, sparking a curiosity for it. Once they are more curious and inquisitive i would explain certain topics to them in a way they understand, experimenting with different methods. After they show some deeper understanding i would help them work through some practise questions, and if they dont understand i will guide them through them. After this i will finish with a recap of the topic and then move onto the next with maybe a small break in between.
I would expect the average lesson time to be around 1.5 hours but this can slter based on your preferences.
As i mentioned before, i am a gcse student- going into year 11- and would therefore like to tutor those younger than me as i would have a deeper understanding of the content at hand.
I believe that my age would encourage children to interact with myself and the work more as i am a school student myself and have gone through similar experiences. I would appear as a friend rather than an adult.
