About Izzat
Hi! I'm Izzat Nazarudin, an Electronics Engineering undergraduate with a strong background in Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, having achieved an A* in IGCSE Mathematics and an A in IGCSE Additional Mathematics in 2023.
Beyond my own academic experience, I've taught over 800 students through STEM education initiatives covering topics such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and solar energy. I've also helped friends and juniors with Mathematics and Additional Mathematics through informal tutoring.
Having studied the IGCSE curriculum myself, I understand that Mathematics can sometimes feel difficult when the fundamentals aren't clear. My goal is to help students develop a genuine understanding of the concepts, become more confident in solving problems, and learn to approach unfamiliar questions independently.
I teach entirely in English and welcome students of different abilities, whether they're building their foundations, catching up on challenging topics, or preparing for their IGCSE examinations.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I want students to know why a mathematical method works, not just which formula to use.
Lessons are tailored to each student's needs and may include:
- Conceptual explanations: Breaking down difficult topics into simpler, manageable steps.
- Guided practice: Working through examples together before letting students attempt questions independently.
- Targeted worksheets: Practicing topics repeatedly to strengthen understanding and identify areas that need more work.
- Homework and schoolwork support: Reviewing classwork, addressing questions and correcting misconceptions.
- Exam preparation: Working through IGCSE-style questions and past papers to improve problem-solving and examination technique.
Whether your child needs help strengthening their fundamentals or wants to become more confident tackling challenging IGCSE questions, I'll work with them at their own pace and help them progress one topic at a time.
My aim is not just to help students answer questions correctly, but to help them understand Mathematics well enough to tackle new questions on their own.

Details
My rate is RM20 per hour for online, one-to-one IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics lessons.
Each session is tailored to the student's needs and learning pace, with a focus on understanding mathematical concepts, strengthening fundamentals, practicing targeted questions and improving examination technique.
I can also help students work through school assignments, clarify difficult topics and practice IGCSE-style questions.
A 60-minute session is RM20, while a 90-minute session is RM30. Lesson frequency and scheduling can be discussed according to the student's needs and availability.
