About Venkat

I am a graduate of Computer Science Engineering, with a Bachelor's and Master's degree from IIT Delhi. I am proficient in Programming (Java, Python, C++), Data Structures & Algorithms, advanced mathematics. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for 5 years assisting bachelor's & master's students at IIT Delhi. I have tutored students (at all levels) across the globe and received 700+ positive reviews on Chegg and Studygate. Currently I'm working as a Senior Software Engineer for an MNC.

About the lesson

I focus on building strong concepts for students before jumping to problem solving. I believe topics like Java, Python, Data Structures, Algebra, Calculus can be made simple if the basics are strong. Apart from regular classes, I also help students of all levels in assignments & quizzes for getting 'A' grade. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
I teach programming, data structures & algorithms, calculus, algebra, probability and other mathematics topics. I have developed love for math at a very early age of 13 when I was at school. And developed interest in programming after I took computer science courses at my college, IIT Delhi. The main reason is the internet and technology around me at that point of time.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
I am inspired by my professor Mr. Naveen Garg who took my Data Structures class in the college. His dedication towards teaching, considering he is very busy with his research work, has a lot of impact on me. It was his sheer patience and love to interact with students is my motivation to pick up teaching profession.
How does your work help society?
My tutoring helps the students understand the subjects they have taken in depth, right from basics to advanced concepts. This will help them in achieving top grades and land them in their dream jobs. With clear knowledge especially in science and technology subjects they can help in building many technology based applications, instruments etc which will eventually help the societal needs.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My role model is Dr. Abdul Kalam. His contribution to Science and Technology and especially as the President of India is enormous. His love towards children and the youth of India has a huge impact on my life. My thoughts, beliefs and ideas are moulded from his books.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
I am a movie and technology buff. I watch almost all of Hollywood films. Besides that cricket is one sport which I have been playing from childhood.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
"If you can't show commitment in anything then you should not enter in it, be it studies, job, sports, relationships!" - My whole life is explained in this anecdote.
