About Karthik
Karthik has experience tutoring for over 5 years in mathematics, biology, physics, and Spanish. He has taken AP Calculus AB, BC, and Multivariable, AP Biology, and all Spanish levels up to 5.
He is expecting to receive his National Trilingual Seal of Certification by the end of the 2021 year. Karthik currently works at a R1 biology research lab and has experience mentoring many students.
For Karthik, the bottom line of tutoring is not only to help his clients get good grades or understand the concept, but to get to a level where tutoring is not necessary anymore. For him, this involves not just working on academic problem areas for the student (biology and math for example) but also trying to build better study habits and work ethics.

Karthik enjoys teaching kids from all ages and backgrounds; he believes each student has a unique way they understand information, and at the beginning of a tutoring session, he will have a 15 minute consultation to better understand the student, talk to the parents, and design a personalized study plan.
Karthik strongly believes that repetition is key to the success in many academic areas, and although he may teach concepts during the entirety of class, he assigns homework for students to complete, anywhere from 1 hour to 5, based upon the student's request.
Karthik's lessons are geared towards high school and college students, however, he can teach students from all grade levels.
