About ZiYan
I am a researcher at heart and have a background in neuroscience. I have trained in many labs and truly enjoy the process of learning and researching about the things that interest me. As someone who loves learning, I love sharing knowledge with others. I enjoy tutoring because I get the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with others who directly benefit. I believe that learning should be fun for everyone and I try to make my sessions as digestible as possible, even for tough subjects.

Hi, I’m ZiYan (Zi-Yahn) and I am a private tutor based in North Carolina. I have a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a premedical focus, and 4 years of scientific/clinical research experience. I teach each student differently depending on what methods work best for them. I have experience with students from 1st grade through 12th and have taught algebra, pre-calculus, basic math, reading and comprehension, writing, and chemistry. Your success is important to me and I will always put forth my best effort to prepare you for your classes and exams. I have lots of personal experience with studying rigorous subjects and have learned many tips and tricks to solidify information. During our sessions, I will share studying tips with you and help you understand the material you are learning.
