About Alexander
I've deeply loved mathematics since my childhood, and greatly enjoy teaching and explaining concepts. I especially love the feeling when a student's face lights up when they finally start to understand something difficult.
Currently, I'm beginning the second year of my mathematics course, but I've been tutoring since before starting university. I also hold a perfect GPA, with my favorite subjects being Abstract Algebra and Real Analysis, which is ideally where I'll pursue a path of research.
Outside of university, I love reading (currently on Sartre's Nausea), listening to music (too many genres to list), coffee shops and studying.
For context, the classes I've completed: Real Analysis 1 and 2, Number Theory and Classical Algebra, Linear and (introductory) Abstract Algebra, Combinatorics 1 and Combinatorial Optimization, all taken in "intensive" variants where possible.

My focus is twofold: Developing my students' problem-solving abilities to ensure familiarity and ease of learning, while also imparting to them the deep understanding and intuition to replace rote memorization with genuine comprehension and confidence in their own abilities.
My lessons typically last for 1-1.5 hours, but the length varies depending on the topic and the needs of my student, ideally all within the LC and university-level mathematics for the sciences (e.g. Calculus, Linear Algebra).
I've been tutoring secondary school mathematics for 2 years now, and skills wise hold a 97% mathematics final and a 4.0/4.0 university GPA.
