About Millie
I am currently studying A-level maths. I have a grade A in maths, and chemistry as well as A* in physics and biology.
I am interested in teaching younger students as I used to really struggle with maths when I was younger, however through tutoring I was able to understand it and really enjoy the subject.
As someone who used to struggle, I am aware of what a student needs to be able to feel confident and understand maths.
Maths is a big passion of mine, and I aim to make lessons as fun for the student as they are for me.

Lesson format:
The first lesson we will discuss what the student struggles with and what their goals are, then we can create a plan of which topics we will go through each session.
Under each topic, I will start by doing a demonstration and then we will go through questions together (this will also give me a gage on how they are doing).
I will then ask them to complete a task with questions about the topic.
Eventually, when the student is feeling confident and happy, we will move onto the next topic that they feel they need work in.
We will also do mini quizzes at the start of each session to keep the content fresh and into their long-term memory.
Maths is a big passion of mine, and I aim to make lessons as fun for the student as they are for me.
I will constantly be checking that the student is happy with the work, and if not then we will go slower as the most important thing is that they are happy and understand the content. Please don’t be afraid to tell me if something is too challenging, or if you are unhappy with anything. – We work at the student’s pace!
